Day dawned on me today,
dreamed up another brew,
awoke and cleared a way
filled full with its own blue.

Reached out to meet the sky.
Recalled a summer sweet.
A cackle! Crow flies high.
Dropped prey down at my feet.

In turning marked a page.
It cast down rays on all.
Alight in daily rage.
Awaiting dusk’s bride call.

And day shall again break.
Un-choke itself in birth.
Light shatter, shard and shake.
Be brought back down to earth.
